Indian Institute of Aeronautics Adds Airbus Training Solution to Curriculum

The Indian Institute of Aeronautics (IIA) Group has entered into an agreement with Airbus to use ‘Airbus Competence Training (ACT) for Academy’ in its curriculum.
The ‘ACT for Academy’ training software has been designed to familiarise students with the latest Airbus aircraft technology and maintenance procedures, in a classroom environment.
Through this maintenance training solution, Airbus aims to prepare and equip young aerospace aspirants for their career challenges and to create a skilled workforce in consonance with the Indian government’s ‘Skill India’ initiative.

The training is an operationally oriented, scenario-based tool focused on a ‘learning by doing’ approach that includes:
– 3D virtual Airbus aircraft, including virtual cockpit, virtual engines and a walk-around trainer;
– Scenario driven exercises to perform typical aircraft systems’ maintenance tasks; and
– General familiarisation on Airbus aircraft coursew
