Laxman urges Prabhu to establish Aviation Varsity in Hyderabad

Hyderabad/New Delhi: BJP Telangana unit President Dr K Laxman urged Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu to establish Aviation Varsity in Hyderabad.
In a memorandum, submitted to the Civil Aviation Minister on Friday, a copy of which was released to media here, Dr Laxman said that Hyderabad is the sixth largest metropolis in India, known for its rich history, culture, varied heritage in arts, crafts and dance. It is also known as “City of Pearls”.
He said in the memorandum that Hyderabad has several defence, educational, legal, agricultural, training, Research and Development Institutes. The city has 13 Universities, including 3 Central, 6 State, 2 Deemed and 2 private universities, and also has world-class institutes like IIT, IIIT, ISB, BITS, Nalsar, IPE . Today, it is home to many multi-national
companies and global majors including Microsoft, Google, Facebook, CA, Oracle, IBM, Dell, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and others.
Apart from IT, Hyderabad is also emerging as a leader in the pharmaceutics, biotechnology, insurance and tourism sectors, Mr Laxman said, adding Hyderabad offers good weather all the year around.
