Apply now to be an Air India cabin crew

Air India is now recruiting Trainee Cabin Crew (Male/Female) for its requirement in Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Regions on a fixed term engagement, for an initial period of five years and to maintain a wait list for future requirements.

Number of vacancies:

• Northern Region- Male: 17,  FM: 200
• Western Region-   Male: 11,  FM: 58
• Eastern Region-    Male: 15,  FM: 3
• Southern Region- Male: 02, FM 35

Unmarried men and women below the age of 27 with a minimum educational qualification of 10+2 can apply. Maximum age is relaxable up-to 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories. And candidates who have three years’ Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a Government recognized Institute will be given preference.

A candidate can apply to only one of the above regions.

Applicants should be Fluent in English and Hindi. (Having fluency in any of the languages of the countries to which Air India operates will be an added advantage).

Physical standards

Height:

• Female – Minimum 160 cms.
• Male – Minimum 172 cms.
  (Relaxation of 5 cms for SC/ST candidates & those from North East states & hilly states)

BMI:
Should be as per the CAR issued by the DGCA.
The normal range is 18-25 for men and 18-22 for women.

Vision:

• Near Vision: N/5 in better eye and N/6 in worst eye. Distant vision: 6/6 in one eye
  & 6/9 in another eye Spectacles not allowed. Contact lenses up to + 2D permitted
  Candidates, who have undergone lasik surgery for correction of
  eyesight, will be considered provided they have undergone surgery prior to six months of the date of eligibility criteria.
• Colour Vision (Colour Blindness): Normal on Ishihara/Tokyo Medical College Chart.

Eligible candidates would be required to go through a Group Dynamics & Personality Assessment Test (GD & PAT) at the venues as decided by Air India. GD & PAT shall be conducted in phases and candidates who qualify the same and fall in the applicable zone of consideration, will have to appear for a Written Test.
