AAI to recruit 1,200 ATCs in next three years
New Delhi: There are 2,144 air traffic controllers in the country and the state-owned Airports Authority of India (AAI) is planning to recruit 400 ATCs every year for the next three years to meet future requirements, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
There are 652 ATCs in northern region, 513 in western, 259 in eastern, 628 in southern and 92 in North Eastern regions, Minister of State for Civil Aviation K C Venugopal said.

I’m a CPL holder and wish to work as ATC . Please advise as to what are the requirements for the same.
Dey conduct an exam consistng of general knwlege & technical questions. U need b Electronics n commtn engineer or Msc in radio physics. Aftr clearing dis dey will train u for 1 year n place u small airport n u go on to bigger airport. Very very very much challenging n tough work environment.
