Pilots make a beeline for IndiGo
Kolkata: Four city-based senior pilots and 44 other commanders and co-pilots have quit Air India in the past few months. For most of those who left AI, IndiGo has been the airline of choice as it has the best financial health as well as ontime performance among airlines operating in the country.
With the carrier set to expand majorly on the international front over the next threefour years as Airbus delivers a new fleet of A-320 aircraft, the company is offering a lucrative bonus of Rs 22-23 lakh to woo pilots with international flying experience.
“The offer is obviously targeted at ICPA members. The bonus more than adequately takes care of the amount due to pilots,” said a commander, who is negotiating with another carrier and may resign next month. “The erstwhile IA pilots are the only ones who don’t have a fixed pay in the industry,” he alleged.
Though the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had mandated that pilots serve a six-months notice so that flight operations are not affected, AI has had to issue no objection certificate much sooner.

Yes, this is the result of the 1 year’s function of the previous management i.e. CMD of Air India. What way the management had treated with the employees, the pilots had lost the love and faith on Air India to which they served for last 20-30 years.
The previous CMD and the concerned directors must be penalized.
want 2 know whose the worse airlines in whole world – air india…..national flag carrer of dis airlines have excelant fleet bt also have lot of bullshit & busterd employee(50 – 60 %) who make this airlines worst..for dis people dis airlines not recruiting any freasher last 3 – 4 year.. Though them out & recruit some freasher then some good things happends for this airlines….
some senior airlines manegment & some busturd employee make tgis aviation corrupted…in aviation fresher is a big zero …bcoz they have no experience…if u deposite 1lack – 2 lach or submitted any recomendation lettr from high position person then you get a chance in bharat aviation, air works,go air, jet airways etc….those people who doing like this is a sheep of aviation those people make this aviation corrupted..
