The empanelment will be for a period of two years followed by similar extensions, depending upon performance.<\/p>\n<p>The following are the required qualifications:<br \/>(i) A degree in medicine recognised by MCI, with a background in military\/ civil<br \/>aviation.<br \/>(ii) Preference will be given to candidates with a post-graduate degree, preferably<br \/>in Aviation Medicine and having undergone the Primary Course in Aviation Medicine<br \/>or Aircrew Medical Examiners Course at Institute of Aerospace Medicine Bangalore.<\/p>\n<p>The candidates may apply on a plain paper with photocopies of relevant certificates of<br \/>competency. Physical verification and a professional interview will be conducted in<br \/>the second week of April 2008 at DGCA New Delhi, for the selected candidates. The<br \/>list of candidates called for the interview will be put up on the DGCA website; no<br \/>individual intimation will be sent to candidates for the interview.<\/p>\n<p>The Director Medical Services (Aerospace Medicine), Med Directorate, Air HQ is the<br \/>head of the selection panel, along with members from Directorate General Civil<br \/>Aviation and approval granted by Principal Director Medical Services (S), Med<br \/>Directorate, Air HQ.<br \/>All approved Class II Medical Examiners will have to undergo a refresher course, once a year, held under the aegis of DGCA.<br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-weight: bold;\">The last date for receiving applications by post is 21 March 2008. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Applications may be sent by post to:<\/p>\n<p>Gp Capt J K Shrivastava<br \/>Director Medical Services (Civil Aviation)<br \/>Office of the Director General of Civil Aviation,<br \/>Technical Centre,<br \/>Opposite Safdarjung Airport,<br \/>Aurbindo Marg<br \/>New Delhi \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 110 003<\/p>\n<p>Candidates who have applied prior to 01 Mar 2008 need to apply again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DGCA has invited applications from candidates for empanelment as Class II Medical Examiners.
