The DGCA has a total sanctioned strength of 950 officials.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Most of the vacancies are in the technical section and the directorate is mulling to recruit officials on contract basis due to the complex recruitment process. The DGCA is not empowered to hire a single employee without prior sanction.
