While it was always expected that pilots from the grounded Kingfisher Airlines would flood AirAsia India with CVs, aviation experts are surprised to find pilots from other airlines also making a beeline to join the yet-to-belaunched airline.<\/p>\n
With the government allowing foreign direct investment of up to 49 per cent in domestic airlines, AirAsia, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, announced its Indian low-cost subsidiary on February 19 this year. The airline is a 49:30:21 joint venture between AirAsia, Tata Sons, and leading investor Arun Bhatia.<\/p>\n
Mumbai Mirror has learnt that AirAsia India have received job applications from almost 400 pilots, of whom 200 are from Kingfisher alone.
