{"id":1626,"date":"2012-04-27T17:03:39","date_gmt":"2012-04-27T17:03:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indianaviationnews.net\/careers\/?p=1626"},"modified":"2012-04-27T17:03:39","modified_gmt":"2012-04-27T17:03:39","slug":"nearly-500-expat-pilots-working-in-india-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indianaviationnews.net\/careers\/2012\/04\/nearly-500-expat-pilots-working-in-india-government.html","title":{"rendered":"Nearly 500 expat pilots working in India: Government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\">New Delhi<\/span>: Nearly 500 foreign pilots are currently working in various Indian aviation companies with Jet Airways topping the list of recruiters, the government said today.<\/p>\n<p>These details were given by Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh in response to a question in Lok Sabha.<br \/>\nThe government had allowed airlines to hire foreign aircrew to meet the shortage of pilots, Singh said.<br \/>\nOf the 497 pilots working with Indian companies, 183 work for Jet Airways, followed by Indigo Airlines 90.<br \/>\nSpice Jet employs 88 expat pilots while Kingfisher employs 15 and Air India 14.
