The national carrier has been facing delays for close to a month due to severe cabin crew shortage.<br \/>According to sources, the National Aviation Company Limited (NACIL), which was formed after the merger between Air India and the Indian Airlines, is currently facing a shortage of 200 cabin crew members.<br \/>The crisis has been further aggravated by the incompatibility between regulations governing the two airlines. While Air India&#8217;s rules allow hiring on contractual basis, it is not possible in the case of Indian Airlines.<br \/>Moreover, sources tell CNN-IBN that it would take another six to seven months to hire and train fresh cabin crew.
