World-wide, the business of aircraft maintenance is enormous, and is set to expand. The approximate number of aeroplanes currently in service world-wide is around 500,000 passenger and cargo aircraft and about four million smaller private aircraft used for business or pleasure.
India is one of the fastest developing countries in the world. Due to the liberalisation policies of the government, there is tremendous growth in civil aviation. Many private airlines and corporations viz., Air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Sahara and Air Deccan are operating today with very good operating revenues. To meet the growing need of the passenger airlines, cargo aircrafts, private air taxi operators, business and corporate jets, there exists an urgent need for aircraft maintenance engineers.
The aviation industry has two main branches: flying branch and maintenance branch. While pilots fly the aircraft, aircraft maintenance engineers are concerned with the maintenance of the aircraft. An aircraft maintenance engineer has to obtain a licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

madarchod dgca sabse bada harami hai, jisne in institute ko approval de rakha hai, behanchod isame sala career to barwad karo hai saath hi saath money or life bhi, student suicide nahi karega to aur kya karega.behanchod kamse kam degree to de diya hota, maine bhi ye course kiya loan le ke.. Aur ajj mere paas pchtava ke siva kuch nahi hai.
This course is only fit for one who have the potential to be the very best.. Because you have to fight among 8000 students to be in 200 of the students who gets employment every year..in this field. So, only join if u have the confidence that you will get into 200. Otherwise future is very dark.. And if u r successful in being with this 200 persons then ur life is set to a higher class
AME COURCE IS GOOD FOR INTERESTED BUT EXPERIENCE IS MORE IMPORTANT then good salary
bhai aap sabhi logo ka bahut bahut shukriya jo aapne ye coments kar k logo ko ame or dgca k bare me jagrook kiya. Mene isi saal (2013) 12th ki hai, or me bhi bombay flying club me admission lena chahta tha, but my father is denied me to take admission in ame, he is a farmer, i thought he doesn’t know nothing about air industry and i conviced him again n again that there is a good opportunity in this feild to go through these article, i was getting stubborn with my parents to take admission in ame while i have secured good rank in jee mains. I’m very very thankful to u all to save me from going to hell.
I hv cmpltd my ame course,even after having 1 year of working experience i left the field, bcoz i dnt want to ruin my life.
Plz stay away from ame and pilot course.

Hi guys…those who have completed this course dont get vexed up…..try yourself getting into design field…so better try to have some design tool knowledge….even am a ame guy having one year experience in ame field bt left it and working in an MNC company as an Design Engineer….even try to do distance education in mechanical or automobile engg……..dont waste time else u will feel @ the end
in my opinion ame is a good course.but another thing is that it is not a degree or diploma.it’s just a license course but if u have talent in this ame u will get job sure.if you have completed ame aand searching for job.first u work in any airport,then get a minimum 2 years experience and search job in airlines.

Hello all. Those students who studied hard and passed 12th exam, i would not recommend AME course. Reason?
GO AHEAD-
1.After spending 2/3 years of your precious time(when your knowledge and brain was sharp) , you will be given a license, which is neither a degree nor diploma. so basically you are a 12th class passed guy.
2.DGCA holds exams which are called papers, pass marks-70 or above out of 100. Each paper fees rs500, getting 69 is fail, want to get any paper recheck/ clear doubts etc.? Always remember DGCA IS AN AUTONOMOUS BODY.
3.Then, without experience nobody will hire you. And without some serious political or economical power forget it. CORRUPTION & NEPOTISM ARE A BIG PART OF INDIAN AVIATION. dont even try to deny it.
4. Even if you get a job(Hundreds of Colleges and thousands of passouts before and after you), your job pay and stability is not certain.
5.If you meet above points, good, and those who didnt, you have spent your PRECIOUS TIME ,Lacs of money, without a PROPER DEGREE or educational qualification(after spending 3or more years!) and frustration.
LASTLY, To those rare people who struggled and made it to the top legally, fairly and have a clear conscience(that is truthfully) ,you deserve RESPECT.

I have done Ame from hyderabad . passed out in 2013. as there are no jobs in same field I started trying in technical publications side. finally I got job in tech pub. I suggest students plz don’t take admission in ame becoz we can’t say about future in this field. do some other good course. still many of my seniors and frnds r sitting at home without any job.

I passed out 12th Science last year (2013) And I heard about that course and I take admission and I pay 10000 Rs to institute and Later I found that article and see comment then I descide not to go that hell. They say My 10000 Rs not refundable but atleast I save my self.

I have also completed this course in 2008.till today i have just an experience of 15 months.and still no one values my experience.when i go for other job in indigo airlines for ground handling.they saaid there is no provision to take a ame in this.
To all student who are dreaming to become AME and have a good high paying career ,this is all sham.Institutes & corrupt dgca officials giving clearances to these hundreds of institutes are just destroying young lives.
the no of vacancy in this so called booming industry is pathetic.
even after having all 3 papers and rt licence my brother is still looking for job since last 06 years.to get job you must have high reference of some

and actually salary are dipping.After all does airlines shuts in boom time.Here anybody will tell you that indian aviation is killed by EX Aviation Minister Praful Patel.
just go to any other field, doing AME course will either make you educated jobless or even if with great great great luck you get job you will be working on 10,000. rs or even unpaid for year or two.
