DGCA cancels licences of 3 pilots who bought flying hrs

New Delhi: Acting on a report from Rajasthan Police that some students got their commercial pilots’ licences allegedly by buying flying hours from an institute and not actually flying planes for those many hours, the DGCA has cancelled the licence of three pilots on Saturday.
One of pilots got employed with Air India and the regulator has asked the airline to ground him immediately. One other pilot was working as a trainer and the third is unemployed.
The DGCA received a report from anti-corruption bureau of Rajasthan regarding fabrication of logbook records of certain pilots in collusion with the chief flying instructor of Rajasthan State Flying School, Jaipur.
