All is well in aviation sector, airlines hiring by the dozen

Mumbai: The two-year drought in airline industry’s job market which began in late 2007 with about 3,000 retrenchments has ended with a heavy downpour of job offer letters.
The most perceptible sign of change in trend came last month when Jet Airways started calling up the flight attendants it had retrenched in 2008 amid much protests.
Incidentally, only last year the Jet Airways had invited  The scene is no different in other airlines, both government as well as private.
National Aviation Company of India (NACIL), the company that runs Air India, has called for applications from type-rated commanders and experienced pilots on Boeing 737, CRJ-700 and ATR 42. Air India Express is looking to fill 40 posts for type-rated co-pilots, again both experienced and inexperienced, on its Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft. It has also put out vacancies for cabin crew posts.
Go Air has invited applications from A320 commanders, trainee pilots and engineering maintenance staff. Spice Jet will be recruiting cabin crew in the coming weeks.
