Sky is the limit for 18-year-old Shruthi

A Bahrain girl has received her commercial pilot’s licence. Indian Shruthi Sathish, aged 18 years and three months, is thought to be the youngest pilot in the region to get this qualification.
She studied at The Indian School and completed her Class 12 last April.
Shruthi then joined a nine-month course in Commercial Pilot Training at the Delta Air International Aviation Academy in the Philippines.
She returned to Bahrain on Feb 11.
“Her next plan is to take an exam in India after which she will be able to fly there”, her father Sathish Mudalayil told the GDN.
“She needs only 150 flying hours to be a commercial pilot, but she’s done 190 hours.
“But before she can get a job (even as a co-pilot) in any airline she needs to have more flying hours.
“So in June or July she will return to the Philippines.
Shruthi’s family hails from Kannur, Kerala.
